Disassembly Machine-facing on Lathe of both internal faces of flywheel Vertical Drilling and Tapping to add flush-finished counter-sunk high-tensile bolts Manufacture of the required number of bespoke shims with characteristics specific to the precise dimensions of each individual flywheel. Re-assembly - using thread engagement compound to ensure optimum durability Balancing of completed single-mass unit to eliminate vibration and ensure flywheel is fit for purpose.
From start to finish this process takes between 6-12 hours of precision engineering and costs from £200 -, depending on the complexity of the model of flywheel.
